This week our Meditation Monday quote comes from the book Listening Hearts: Discerning Call In Community:
“Discernment can be like driving an automobile at night: the headlights cast only enough light for us to see the next small bit of road immediately in front of us…What is important is that we act on what we have discerned. In obedience to discernment, more discernment will come.”
As we continue the journey of discerning and following God’s call for our lives, it is good to be reminded that God provides the light for the next step rather than for the whole journey. That is enough, and we can trust God that the light for each next step will be given at the right time as we stay grounded daily in the presence and love of God.
